Shant Sargsyan took the forth place
Armenian chess players could not win medals at the chess championship in South African city Durban. Our representative Shant Sargsyan shared 1-4 places at U-12 tournament with 8.5 points. Alas, with the additional calculation our 11-year-old chess player took the 4th place. With the additional ratios Tigran K. Harutyunyan, who gained 7.5 points from 11 possible at 18 year-old chess players’ tournament, shared 3-7 places, but finally ended in the 6th place. The same result was shown by our chess player Hayk M. Martirosyan at U-14 group. At 16-year-old tournament Manuel Petrosyan from Stepanakert shared 5-7 places with 8 points. Siranush Ghukasyan gained 7 points and took the 10-13th places at U-16 tournament.
