Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) member Stepan Margaryan does not exclude that the opposition troika may call for a change of power. “Hardly anyone will believe that our parliament reflects the opinions of different strata of society,” he said. The BHK MP says the gap between the authorities and society is deepening, creating a need for serious radical changes. “By saying radical changes I mean both early elections and serious legislative amendments,” he says. Head of the Republican faction Vahram Baghdasaryan is sure that the trio is in fact preparing for pre-election campaign. But let them forget about a change in power. “There is no need for it,” he said. The Republican lawmaker does not agree with his BHK colleague that the parliament does not reflect the layout of political forces.  “Is it Stepan who should decide whether the Republicans enjoy reputation or not?” Vahram Baghdasaryan admits that there is some discontent over his party but they hold frequent discussions to handle the existing problems. The Republican official says it is his party that forces people to take to the street when a governor [Surik Khachatryan] involved in numerous crimes is reappointed to the position. Mr Baghdasaryan expressed his concerns over Khachatryan’s reappointment and said, ‘We shall speak about him in a year.’
