Karen Kocharyan, an expert in political technologies, does not expect anything good from the opposition rally. “What are the opposition and authorities going to do next? Are they doing it for imitation or do they have a definite goal? I have not heard [Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) Leader] Gagik Tsarukyan demand a change of power. What is the Armenian National Congress (HAK) going to do if the BHK does not demand anything?" he said. “Political life in Armenia is very ludicrous. It is a shame that Serzh Sargsyan calls the Republicans and says ‘Go and work!’ It is really funny,” he continued. In reply to the question whether Armenia may go back on its decision to join the European Economic Union after the opposition’s upcoming rally, the expert said, “I have not heard that the opposition is against Armenia’s membership to the EEU. BHK and HAK are for the accession. Heritage is divided into two groups over the issue,” he said. Mr Kocharyan excludes the possibility of early elections in Armenia. “People in Armenia do not demand changes; they are simply waiting for the next  election to earn 5000 drams,” he said.
