Birthrate in Armenia declined 2,5 times from the 1990s to 2001, says the head of the Population Census and Demography Division of the National Statistical Service Head of the Census and Demography Division at the National Statistical Service. Karine Kuyumjyan says fertility rate began stabilizing after 2001 and then fell again after 2011. “We cannot say whether there will be an increase in the birth rate by the end of the year, or not,” she said.
